In a partnership with Public-Will.Org, I created and presented a campaign that was selected out of a whole class of competing students to be brought to life sometime in the near future.
At local parks around the state of Michigan, we will set up a big tent managed by our staff. Inside of the tent, there will be a table with various bowls filled with different colored tiles. Each color is represented by a statement.
As a participant, you will choose a tile that appropriately represents you. You will take your tile and sign your name on the back of it then add it to a larger bowl filled with other signed tiles.
This bowl of signed tiles is then given to an artist that we would partner with who will then begin constructing a beautiful mural that represents the community which this is happening in such as the one that stands in East Lansing.
In front of the mural will stand a plaque. It will explain what this mural stands for and what all of the various colors represent. That way even if you did not participate, you will understand the significance of the art while simultaneously realizing that CSA does happen and it is happening in your neighborhood. That in turn, will draw viewers to Public-Will.Org's website. The mural will stand in various neighborhoods to show that no one is alone. It will show we are stronger together and we are stronger with conversation.
